Experienced provers employ a host of skills when assessing the validity justification, often without names for those skills. This paper offers an introduction to lens called Toulmin analysis that can help make sense this process. Then describes both in-class module students learn apply and multiple ways be integrated into courses mathematics majors non-majors. has helped us bring human dimensions proving surface in our classrooms, it helps build stronger more inclusive entryways mathematical communities. Learning about connect reasoning other thinking, supporting transfer directions, changed thinking teaching learning even contexts where we do not devote class time model overtly.
